As founding member, DJ and integral part of both London’s Livin’ Proof and New York’s Back To Life parties, Khalil’s musical palette, creative direction and unique DJ style have proved pivotal in the on going success of both brands. Having moved to New York City from London in 2015, Khalil has remained a highly active and widely respected club DJ within New York City, London and internationally. He has played some of the worlds most renowned venues, big name brand & corporate events, with tours, bookings and festivals around the globe, across Asia, Europe, The United States and the UK. He has been booked alongside a long list of established global acts including Kendrick Lamar, Anderson .Paak, A$AP Rocky, Massive Attack, Questlove and Sampha to name a few, and played shows and guest mixes for high profile stations and publications including Boiler RoomNTS, Balamii Radio, Rinse fm, Kiss fm, BBC Radio 1 Xtra, iD online, Highsnobiety, Noisey, Redbull, theFADER, and Serato.

London’s biggest and best Hip Hop party Livin’ Proof continues to go from strength to strength and in 2017 celebrated it’s 10 year anniversary with iconic DJ / Producer guests Stretch Armstrong & Alchemist. While the event is focused around the talents of it’s 4 DJs in their own right - consistently selling out 700-1000 ticket venues monthly - their reputation has grown worldwide and lead to booking international guests such as A$AP Rocky, Hudson Mohawke, ASAP Ferg, Schoolboy Q, Danny Brown, Giggs, G Eazy, and Dom Kennedy amongst others. With bookings across the UK, Europe, and Asia, taking in many clubs and festivals including their own stages at London’s Rinse FM festival, Lovebox (London) & Pleasure Principle Festival. Corporate and brand events for clients including Adidas, Puma, Boxfresh, Boiler Room and Brooklyn Brewery. Livin’ Proof has featured on BBC Radio 1 & 1xtra as one of the best nights in London, and as a collective, they have played numerous Boiler Room shows and hosted a long running show on NTS Radio. They have also been featured heavily by Vice’s music site Noisey with video features accompanying their bigger shows and support of their mixtapes.

Soon after moving to New York in 2015, BackToLife was launched with the simple plan to bring a slice of London's famed nightlife to New York City. The event launched with record attendance and revenue for the venue, and in a short space of time became a permanent fixture and one of the most celebrated club nights in the city. Guests of the party have included Idris Elba, Sampha (Mercury Music Prize Winner), Maseo (De La Soul), Little Simz, NAO, Richard Russell (XL Records), DJ EZ, Stretch Armstrong, DJ Spinna, Donae’o, Lady Leshurr, Roska, Kindness, Daniel Bedingfield and Just Blaze, amongst many others. BackToLife recently toured Asia with shows in Bangkok, Shanghai, Tokyo & Seoul, has been booked to support Craig David, Everyday People parties, Le Bain at the Standard, Output, Rough Trade, Webster Hall, Dave & AJ Tracey at SOBs, Blur’s official and events at Soho House New York, Toronto and Soho Beach House Miami for Art Basel, Afropunk AfterDark, the Guggenheim museum, with press features in iD magazine, the Fader, Dummy Mag, Spindle, Pigeons & planes and artsy magazine. BackToLife also hosts a regular show on Balamii Radio.

Since moving to NY, other highlights include being resident DJ at Vashties 1992 party at Webster hall (2015-2016). Becoming head of programming and curating event’s at Louie & Chan, delivering a series of top talent performing at the venue, including the likes of Teddy Riley, J Rocc, Idris Elba, Questlove, Bryan-Michael Cox (9 Grammy awards), Just Blaze, Stretch Armstrong, Skratch Bastid, Sosupersam (Soulection), Maseo (De La Soul), Laura Stylez (Hot 97), Mayer Hawthorne & Starro, amongst many underground stars and local and international DJs. and setting up and running the weekly Shapes party (ongoing).
