Good afternoon Subscriber First Name. Firstly, I just want to apologise to those of you that didn’t get a reply, or got a stupidly late reply regarding Soho House guestlist last week. Had waaaaaay too many requests this month, and like i've mentioned before, there is a limit to how many people we can add for Soho House. Saying that.. Gonna try the party at Dumbo House in June, and I think we can get more people in to that one.. let’s see. If you did make it down to Soho House the other night thank you! I’ve had so many people say they had an amazing night, which especially on this occasion meant a lot! I would love to know your thoughts / feedback if you made it down. I’m gonna get super geeky here.. Before the night, I kinda set myself a challenge of not playing any US Rap, Drill or Trap. I wanted to see if we could still make it a proper party without it. There’s still SO much music to play from. I did in the end play some of those genres (this is where it gets even more nerdy), but in my 2 hour set, I played 153 tracks. Out of that, I zipped through 23 tracks that were US Rap, Drill or Trap, for a combined total of just under 12 mins. So once again, thank you to everyone who said they had an amazing time, I don’t know if you noticed that about the music or not.. I mean I was still playing big tunes.. but yeah. Definitively keen to hear your thoughts about the night Subscriber First Name if you were there.
In other news, this made me laugh.
Gonna keep the email fairly short today. Allergies are properly fucking me up, I can’t think straight, and I have so much to do before flying to London in a few hours. Tonight in New York, Shapes is back at Pianos and should be fun! I think it’s a dope line up anyway. We’ve got Milkyshake, Snips & Izm holding down the back room, with Rhonda Rox and Danymane in the front bar. Hosted as usual by Mark! Priority entry here.
